Market Description

This market will resolve to YES if the upper bound of the FED (federal reserve) target rate is 4.5% or less on December 19th 2024. Otherwise, this market will resolve to NO.

This market will be resolved based on data from https://www.federalreserve.gov/monetarypolicy/fomccalendars.htm. This market may wait up to 48 hours after the December 17-18th meeting if data from that meeting is delayed for any reason. After that date if nothing has officially been announced or released on the site/by the federal reserve, the last known target rate upper bound will be used.

As of right now there are three (3) scheduled meetings according to the federal reserve website (September 17-18, November 6-7 and December 17-18). Two of these meetings are meetings associated with a Summary of Economic Projections from the FED.
